Once you have subscribed to a bot and connected an exchange account, it's time to connect them, sit back, relax, and let them trade for you.
Navigate to Portfolio
and scroll to the bottom where you'll find your subscriptions and exchange accounts.
Decide which bot you would like to link, and on that bot click Link Account
.
There you can scroll through all of your connected exchanges and click Confirm
once you have made your selection.
Your bot is now automatically trading on your selected exchange account. You will automatically enter a trade the next time the bot opens a position.
At any time you can click Unlink
in order to unlink your exchange from that bot.
Once logged into KuCoin click on your profile circle on the top right of the screen, and then API Management
near the bottom of the dropdown menu.
Then click on the Create API
button at the top center of the screen.
First you will need to enter an API Passphrase
, and then make sure that you have Spot Trading
, Margin Trading
, and Futures Trading
enabled.
Ensure that API calls are allowed from any IP address, and then click Next
.
KuCoin may require additional security steps at this stage including your Trading Password
, Email Verification Code
, and Google 2FA Code
. Once you have entered those click Confirm
.

We've put together some helpful guides for you to get setup with our platform quickly and easily.
Currently Raindrop offers exchange support for WooX, Kraken, KuCoin, and ByBit. In order to link your account from one of these exchanges follow these simple steps.
First click on your profile name on the top right, and then click on Account
.
Click on Exchange Accounts
and then Add Account
.
Then click on the exchange on which the account you would like to connect to is. For this example we will be using Kraken.
Add an Account Name
, choose a Label Color
, and then decide the maximum percentage of your account you would like the bot to be able to trade.
Finally, paste in your API keys from your exchange account. You can find guides for generating these for each exchange in our Exchange API Key Guides
found below.

Once logged onto Kraken, click the grid of boxes at the top right of your screen, and then select Kraken Classic
at the bottom of the list.
Once on Kraken Classic
, click on your account name in the top right, then on the Security
dropdown menu, then finally API
at the bottom of the dropdown menu.
Once on the API page you will see all of you active API keys, we will create a new one by selecting Add Key
.
Make sure that you enable all of the key permissions outlined so that our bots can trade on your behalf, however be sure to leave Withdraw funds
disabled.
Once your keys have been generated make sure to copy them directly into your account on Raindrop, as you will have to create a new set of keys if you lose track of them before they are saved.
To create your API keys first click on your profile
icon, and then Subaccounts & API
.
Select the account you would like to have your bot trading on, and then ensure that both Read
and Enable Trading
permissions are enabled. After any required account authentication, click Create API
.
On this screen you will see your API Key
and API Secret
, copy and paste both of these directly into your exchange account on Walnut, see .
First click on your profile icon on the top right of your screen, and then API
on the dropdown menu.
On the API Management
screen click Create New Key
.
Then click System-generated API Keys
.
Make sure that API Transaction
is selected, name the key, ensure it has Read-Write
permissions, and select No IP restriction
, then Submit.
On the left side of the screen select Unified Trading
and Assets
, which will automatically select the permissions needed by Walnut. Then click Submit.
After verifying your account click Next Step

On this screen you will see your API Key
and API Secret
, copy and paste both of these directly into your exchange account on Walnut, see .

In order to add your bot on Raindrop, click on your username at the top right of the screen and select Author Dashboard
. At the top right click Add Bot
, and fill in the following information about your bot.
Bot name
Bot image URL
Trade timeframe
Recommended leverage
Bot description

Asset being traded
After filling in this information you will be prompted to upload your bot's trade history CSV. Once you upload your CSV you will need to indicate which header in your CSV matches each of the following categories. The delimiter in the CSV files is supposed to be a colon, not a semicolon!
Trade ID: Each set of orders will need a unique trade ID. Indicate multiple orders in the same trade with the same trade ID. This means the open, any partial orders, and the closing trade will all have the same trade ID.
Side: A string, either "buy" or "sell".
Open Price: The opening price in USD
Profit: Percentage profit
Risk: Percentage equity in order, between 0 and 1
Timestamp: The timestamp of the trade in UST
Is closing order: A boolean indicating whether the trade is a closing order or not

On the Raindrop click on the "Apply to be an author" button to begin the setup process.
